What is The Lincoln Masquerade Bash?

This is the third year the PTSA is hosting The BASH, a fundraising event to raise money for the direct giving campaign which includes funding three Para-professional salaries, hosting over 10 PTSA community events, teacher grants and additional school field trips.  The evening will consist of a cocktail reception, seated dinner and live entertainment.  The event is primarily a fundraiser, but also an opportunity for parents, staff and teachers to have a fun evening out and to enjoy each other’s company.

What is the financial goal?
The PTSA has the goal to raise $89,000 for the 2016-2017 school year.   The BASH’s goal is to raise a $42,000.

How will this event raise money?
During the event there will be an ask to make a donation to the direct giving campaign.  All donations are 100% tax-deductible.  Ticket sales and sponsorships are underwriting the expense of hosting the event. If you cannot attend the event, click here to make a donation.  REMEMBER purchasing a ticket is NOT a donation.

How will the funds raised be used?
The PTSA provides a Faculty Grant to Lincoln Elementary to pay for three additional paraprofessionals in the classrooms.  Funds will also be used by the PTSA for Lincoln Community Events and Programs.

Where is the event?  Where do I park?  Any alternative transportation options?
Click here for a parking map and directions to the Governor’s Ballroom in the Driscoll Center North at the University of Denver – 2055 E. Evans Avenue, Denver.  Parking is $6 per vehicle.  The University of Denver Light Rail Station is located four blocks north of the Driscoll Center. You are also encouraged to grab a cab/Uber/Lyft, carpool, cycle, etc.

When can I purchase tickets?  Will tickets be sold at the door?

What is the attire for The BASH?
Masquerade or cocktail attire is suggested; however there is no official dress code.  You are welcome to come dressed however you please.  Whether you come in jeans or a ball gown, we will be happy that you came!

I have never been to any Lincoln events and I don’t know many other parents.  Is there assigned seating?
A lot of people feel this way, but don’t let this stop you from coming to The BASH.  This is a perfect opportunity to meet other parents and celebrate Lincoln Elementary.  There will not be assigned seating at the dinner, so grab a seat and meet some new folks.
