  • Allison motioned to vote for the three candidates, Sarah Rothman seconded the motion; all were in favor, no opposition; all candidates were voted into their new positions

  • Membership Committee report (Liz Mogno-Chair)

  • Ideas and plans in place to build our membership and engage the community more directly; increase communication; provide perks to membership

  • Planning for “membership drive” and campaign at the beginning of the school year, around Back To School Night

  • More details and planning to come

  • Finance Committee Report (Doug Lazure-Chair)

  • Over $3500 has been raised on restaurant nights, more than we’ve ever raised before; Big thanks and shout out to Andy Gonchar who has been running restaurant nights this year

  • School is requesting $100,000 raised for next year which is less than in years past and Shelley hopes that it will stay at this rate, not increase

**Member question: has the new ECE/Kindergarten classroom been filled? Where do we stand on that enrollment?

  • Discussion re: how the PTSA budget is spent/directed; Shelley goes over what all is covered by the district and makes an educated but somewhat ballpark guess on what funding will still be needed which is where the $100K number comes from that is requested from PTSA help

  • Please refer to the budget slide here: PTSA_April Community Meeting_2025 for more details

    ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

  • BASH- “Be A School Hero” Fundraiser (Lara Pomprowitz)

  • See slides here: PTSA_April Community Meeting_2025 for what the BASH supports and more information

  • We are currently a little low on ticket sales from previous years; ticket sales cover the cost of the event and then we make some funds with what is raised beyond covering costs

  • Invite friends and neighbors to participate in the auction and bring friends to the BASH

  • Access the auction HERE

  • On the online auction website, there is also a live auction preview tab to get an idea of what is coming up in the live auction

  • End of year ramp up/Events/Needs (Stacy Berger):

  • See slide here: PTSA_April Community Meeting_2025 for upcoming dates

  • There are still yearbooks available for purchase, please spread the word!

  • Community question re: yearbook distribution; how are donated books getting distributed? A: They will be delivered to the student in the classroom. Amy Miller will follow up on yearbook donations to make sure those are happening as indicated

  • Volunteer Needs (Sarah Callaway):

  • There are a few sign up geniuses circulating around with needs; we will resend out

  • Sarah Forbes has done an amazing job organizing for staff/teacher appreciation week

  • Still looking for help with coffee cart, food donations, chalk the black top

  • Bike rodeo- watch for volunteer opportunities to come

  • Field Day- Ms. Hinton organizes and runs it however she will need more support this year as she recently broke her arm, impacting her participation

  • End of the year gift distribution: we ask the community for donations and all funds raised are distributed to all staff involved in the building; we give a card, small gift, and check to each employee of lincoln

  • Please see slides here:  PTSA_April Community Meeting_2025 for more information

    —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

  • Summer/Fall Preview (Stacy Berger):

  • Informal summer meetups/ways to get together over the summer-this is an idea in process

  • Need to address communication over the summer because we can’t do anything directly through the school so people need to either use the app; get on the PTSA member email list

  • Community Discussion and Ideas for Summer connections

  • Erick Valdes suggested linking to something already happening in the community that many people go to (e.g. the 4th of July bike parade/events at Wash park)

  • Ice cream and playground playdates

  • Andy G. and Lara P. will continue to try to schedule some restaurant nights over the summer

  • We could possibly get email addresses from BASH ticket sales for additional communication

*Fall:

  • School has taken over the back to school night programming

  • PTSA will host a community picnic (8/28/25) in the evening on the playground

  • First community meeting of the 25-26 school year will be 9/18/25

    —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

  • Community Corner:

  • Enrichments- DPS has taken over enrichments, run through Tamara

  • Discussion: need more spots because they fill up so quickly

  • Need more options for younger grades because most the options in the spring were for 3rd grade and up and those ones have open spots but the younger grades fill up

  • Diversify the days of offerings (right now there are no offerings on Wednesdays and Fridays)

  • It’s a lot for one person to manage; Ms. Tamara is having to manage all the enrichments, discovery link, and kadoodles

  • Ideas for offerings- anything offered through DPS in the summer are vendors that DPS works with-start by looking there

  • Members voiced requests for more music options/instruments, more sports, dance, skateboarding, theater, hula hooping, STEM/science, karate/martial arts
