Info from Meeting with Shelley (Principal)

  • went well overall

  • covered a lot of BASH items

  • Science fair has been called off for the year and we’re pushing it to the fall due to all of the other commitments and things going on

  • re-orientation of the PTSA role in relation to the school is continuing to evolve and we’re learning and flexing with the shift

  • School is driving the science fair, earth day, calendar, school supplies, etc.

  • Allison: we typically meet and collaborate on the school calendar to coordinate yearly PTSA events however we still need to figure out

  • Shelley is learning along with us and may not be aware of how the PTSA has helped plan the calendar (re: PTSA events)

  • Talked about sending information out re: Gracie’s Giving Project/Colfax Marathon event in the ledger and need to figure out what we can do and what Gina would prefer

  • Re Mo’s passing: it has been handled in a district prescribed manner and Shelley hasn’t had a lot of say or her hands have been tied in the situation—we’ve had a lot of parents question how it's been handled
