Lincoln’s PTSA Needs You!

Lincoln’s PTSA needs new recruits! A key reason our school has been able to maintain its consistent high quality is because of the incredible work done by our PTSA parent volunteers to organize events, build community and raise funds for several full-time school staff, innovation lab and teacher grants. 

The two-year terms of most of the current board is coming to an end in May 2024. Per PTSA bylaws, the required positions we need to fill include: 

  • President

  • Vice-President

Other positions currently available include:  

  • Communications 

  • Fundraising 

  • Volunteer 

  • Membership/Merch 

  • Technology 

  • Sustainability 

  • Policy

The structure of the board is flexible, with non-required positions able to be structured as a board member or more informal “lead.”  All roles can adjust to meet each person’s interests/abilities (i.e. the President or VP could also be the Fundraising lead or two different people could share the Communications Chair role).  

Serving on the PTSA is an amazing opportunity to directly impact our children’s education while also plugging into an committed community of parents and friends. Joining the PTSA can also be a great way to grow new skills, such as learning new tech platforms, managing volunteers, grant writing/fundraising, event planning, public speaking, etc. All current board members have committed to mentoring their replacement, so you will have tools and support!
