Support BASH!
Save the Date: Lincoln BASH (Be a School Hero) on April 13, 2024! Let's kick it old school! Enjoy food, drinks & music at an evening full of fun in support of Lincoln.
BASH is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we rely on our school community to make it a success! So, we're making it even easier to support BASH planning efforts this year.
School Choice: How You Can Help!
The DPS School Choice Round 1 window is now open through February 14. In each of the last two years we increased our enrollment and saw increased funding for our school. We want to see those numbers grow even more for the next school year.
How can we increase our enrollment? Through the power of our own Lincoln community.
Lincoln’s PTSA Needs You!
Lincoln’s PTSA needs new recruits! A key reason our school has been able to maintain its consistent high quality is because of the incredible work done by our PTSA parent volunteers to organize events, build community and raise funds for several full-time school staff, innovation lab and teacher grants.

Earth Day Resources
The first Earth Day took place 52 years ago. The organizing group recognized the energy of student-led activism in the 1960's and wanted to infuse that energy towards environmental consciousness with the general public.

Celebrating Native American Heritage Month
November is Native American Heritage Month, and with the Thanksgiving holiday around the corner, is an excellent opportunity for your family to learn more about the Native tribes and peoples who lived and still live locally in Colorado and to dispel myths about the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Lincoln Elementary sits on the traditional territories and ancestral homelands of the Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute), Tséstho’e (Cheyenne), and Očhéthi Šakówiŋ (Sioux) Nations. Additionally, we acknowledge the 48 contemporary tribal nations historically tied to the lands that comprise what is now called Colorado. You can find a few stories about each tribe, as well as with additional resources to help you learn more, to connect with local native organizations, and create your own traditions after the jump.
Voting in November
Colorado’s general election will be held on November 8, 2022. This general election includes all of Colorado's executive officers, the Senate and House, and several ballot issues that will impact Colorado’s kids. Lincoln’s PTSA has compiled a few resources to learn about these ballot initiatives and races. We hope you talk with your kids about voting and see you at the polls this November!
Lincoln Fundraising
Despite being the nation's 12th richest state, Colorado public schools rank in the bottom half of the nation in per pupil spending and teacher pay. We’ve put together a document to explain this gap and to articulate the goals of Lincoln’s fundraising.

Speech Services @ Lincoln
Emily shared this note in a recent ledger. As a PTSA, we wanted to share this on our blog as well to provide additional visibility to anyone wanting to advocate for our school in regards to Speech Services. In addition, we will update this post with any community resources for Speech Services families might consider in the interim.
